Today I started out on Folly Beach with my friend Dax.
The weather was bad and it was kind of quite. We decided to go home, then we noticed a place called The Barrel was packed with cars. We were not ready to give up our quest for fun and adventure, so we decided to give it a try.
Dax and I had no idea what a good time we had snuck up on.
Offering 33 taps, or a choice from their wide bottle selection, featuring hard-to-find imports. I was impressed!
We happened to find this treasure on their “The end of the season oyster roast”.
The rain was not damping this fun!
Live music, and vendors. We supported every one.
Dax was lured away by a mermaid and quickly recruited.
Dax was such a good sport, The two ladies running the booth snatched him up, started removing his shoes and quickly recreated him into a Merman.
I haven’t laughed this hard in a long time friends!!
Not wanting to keep this fun to ourselves, I called Maegan and Kay Kay to come join us. They did not disappoint!
Of all the vendors, the Mermaid tent was the most fun. It was truly unforgettable!
The Barrel is a bar and a dog park in one! Inside was warm and inviting and the staff was great!
A different food truck comes daily.
The dog park is fenced in on a creek. Water loving dogs would have a blast here!
There is lots of room to sit back, let your dog play, listen to live music ,and enjoy great beer!
Dogs were running everywhere, You enter through a double door so there is no fear of them escaping.
Big wooden doors with bolts and latches, gave the place great character!
The fire pits were in full form, adding to the already friendly atmosphere.

I can’t wait to come back with Monkey!
